WOW LONG TIME IT'S BEEN.

This is one of two major projects I've been working on. This one is a series done completely in vector (Adobe Illustrator), for the theme "seasons." So creative, I know. .----.

Each file is originally 17 inches high and all but one I think are below 3MB. Some are even below 1MB. omg I love vector.

I will be slowly uploading the larger versions on the ~IroIro account, so go look! =D

[edit] I added somewhat of a in-progress/tutorial here: [link]

I am so tired of men president, I hope a female republican and democrat go for it in the next election and that way women win!

Stupid men

Rock on! If you ever feel like revisting them again, I'd suggest messing with those gradients...whatever you did in the rain pic was so luminous and color-controlled, maybe trying to replicate that--but the imagery is way more sophisticated in these, you did an awesome job of choosing poses and ways of using an umbrella.

I love vectors, too! I really love your vector work, too.

You use the freehand tool a lot, no? Do you sketch this stuff first or do you just start with a blank page and vector it in?
:iconparara:
Yeah it's (somewhat) mostly freehand tool. The spring, fall, and winter pics were finished without a sketch because I didn't have a scanner. The trees I traced (quickly with freehand tool) from internet photos because they were murder to do otherwise.

While I was making these I had a two-inch thumbnail by me. It's nice to know where you're going at the least. Laziness dictated what details went where though.

I scanned in the sketch for the girls in the summer and moon pics. I guess I'll upload a in-progress, but if I don't have a sketch, I just freehand in rough blobby forms of how I think the form basically will be, then spend a lot of time with the pencil and white arrow to fix everything.

Amazing. I really like all of these designs.

And as I was writing this I just noticed the rabbit in the moon. ^_^

These are gorgeous. I love the two on the right the most. The little bunny in the moon is too cute.

.......I can't think of anything to put here!!!!!!!! orz

Cool, cool. I've done a lot of trace work with vectors... making portraits and stuff... and also inking and coloring with vectors but scanning in original sketches and such. I've always just point and clicked, though, and haven't really experimented with the freehand stuff at all.

What program you use? I'm really liking Inkscape at the moment, actually.
